14 December, One Great George Street, Westminster (London)

The ADBA National Conference is the UK’s foremost conference for the anaerobic digestion and biogas industries. Hosted by The Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA), this annual event attracts over 200 high level delegates from all sectors of the industry from waste, food, energy and water to national and local Government. It is the only event in the sector that allows its delegates to directly influence the development of the AD and biogas industries. This makes it the event that all key decision makers want to attend.

ADBA’s Annual National Conference 2011 will debate whether the AD industry is finally gathering momentum. Despite progress with the announcement of the RHI and the development of the AD Strategy and Action Plan, is the AD industry actually moving forwards at the rate required or are there still major obstacles preventing this vital growth? If the UK is to meet its climate change and renewable energy targets by 2050 then a mature AD industry is critical. A mature UK AD industry can deliver over 40TWh of renewable energy, equivalent to 20% of the UK’s domestic gas demand and a significant proportion of the UK’s renewable fertilisers.

With such clear benefits to UK plc the ADBA National Conference 2011 will not only demonstrate the AD industry’s value but also question whether enough is being done to break down the barriers to its development. High level debates led by expert panels will cover the following issues:
